FIFA Rankings ?????

10th is about right if you ask me.

In any given major tournament that would put us in the 2nd round, perhaps making the quarter finals.

Pretty much what we manage to achieve these days

I agree that 10th is about right for England, but there is no way we are stronger than Spain or Holland and there is no way Wales or Romania are stronger than us, let alone the aforementioned.. Also, what is with France being below Iceland, Slovakia and Algeria?! Utterly bizarre.

a while ago about a year or so i saw the equations / formulas for how they work this ridiculous system of rankings out
and trust me its NOT worth the computer paper its printed on its really not.

France have slipped because they are hosting Euro 2016 and therefore not playing competitive matches (in fact no that many at all). It affected their World Cup seeding as they were drawn as second seed in a groupwith Holland. The host country problem is a serious weakness of FIFA rankings (Brazil went down considerably before last World Cup); indeed the whole emphasis on results of competitive matches, which are of very varialbe quality and quantity between major tournaments. Brazil probably dropped even further after 'THAT' semi final!!!!
