We didn't put the Bothroyd deal on old, we ended it completely full-stop as Poyet believed he could secure Tuncay, and the board said the club could only afford one striker.
Liar, liar, pants on fire!

Right, I can say that no-one will come in for more that £1.25 million, maybe £1.5 million if the player is an exceptional talent or deal. Orlandi will be announced late morning, around 11 am. A winger is the main target, Hammill has been mentioned and another name mentioned is Adomah, though unsure if Bristol will be unwilling to sell for a reasonable price. Any defender brought in will be viewed as back-up, and will either come from a Champ side's reserves or the lower leagues. If from the lower leagues, they will be a young defender with potentional to grow.

I've just had contact from someone whom works at the club, someone very close to the board, and they say that no strikers will join tomorrow!

From what I gather, Poyet's initial interest was in Bothroyd, as he believed that he would get the best out of CMS. As my contact puts it, Bothroyd "would definately consider the oppurtunity if a bid was to come". The club was in the "final throes" of negotations, with a fee that could've possibly have risen to £1 million depending on clauses, such as promotion, number of goals e.t.c

It was then that Gus became aware that Tuncay was potentially looking to join an English club, with his agent touting him around to a few Prem clubs. Gus then told the board of his intentions, whom instructed him that the budget of the club would only allow the signing of a single striker. This is because the board estimated that his wages and signing on fee would equal that of the Bothroyd deal. If he wanted to bring in Tuncay, he would have to pull the plug on the Bothroyd deal.

Gus believed that Tuncay would have a greater impact on our season than Bothroyd, so decided to pursue his interests there. After "tentative discussions", Tuncay declined the chance to join as he still believed that he had the talent to play on at the top level. This was a setback to Poyet and the board, however they quickly resumed discussions with QPR, whom were ready to resume negotations.

Bothroyd, however, was not willing. He "was offended about the breakdown of negotations at Brighton's end, he believes that if the club was unwilling to commit to him, then he couldn't commit to them"

I have been told that "unless there is a significant opportunity or change, then there will be no striker inbound". However Orlandi was currently in a medical when I recieved this information and, barring unforeseen consequences in which I would be informed of, will be announced tommorrow. This isn't expected to be the end of our transfer dealings, as Orlandi will be played centrally by Poyet and he is looking at other options to replace Nooney. Adam Hammill was mentioned, but was told it was merely "interest"

Frustrating, but I'm confident that there are worse strike forces in the Champ than ours!

This is so tragic it's funny.

"This was a setback to Poyet and the board, however they quickly resumed discussions with QPR, whom were ready to resume negotations." What does that even mean?

So this person, works at the club, and is close to, but not on the board. They are telling you that no strikers will join tomorrow? I can 99.9% guarantee that most members of the board would not have A CLUE about who is going to sign, let alone some hanger-on. What sort of 'contact' did you have with this person. They seem to have told you a lot of information. Given their 'loose lips', they don't sound like the person Tony and Co would have around the place...

But bless your heart for trying.

Yes, Bristol are seeking an unreasonable price for him, as he's their star player. I would hope that our club would do the same. If you realised how old I am, then you'd realise Haribo is a below my age range. Wait, I forgot to make certain words capital letters to SATISFY you intelligence LEVEL. I'm leaving now FOR some sleep and I HOPE you do too.

Oh hang on, I've cracked it.

The capital letters gave it away. Yorkshire-Gull is, of course,

ERNEST's SAUCE, which means IT must be TRUE.

If neither Bothroyd or Tuncay join, will people begrudgingly admit my info was correct?
Eh? Where's the logic in that?

Our negotiations for Ronaldo and Messi have broken down. Both are offended that we were considering the other as an alternative.
If - oops, sorry, when neither Ronaldo or Messi join, will you begrudgingly admit my info was correct?

Bothroyd, however, was not willing. He "was offended about the breakdown of negotations at Brighton's end, he believes that if the club was unwilling to commit to him, then he couldn't commit to them"

Bothroyd went on to say, "Well if you'd rather have that long haired Tonkey Donkey, or whatever his name is, then I'm not coming to play football for your silly club. Stinky bums to you!"
