Best striker living in the city and he doesn't even play for us; that says volumes about our player recruitment at the moment.

Totally correct. I like the bloke goes about it the right way. The club let us all down

But didn't people moan like **** when he was here ?not interested etc etc

They did, many did. But they were just the Withdean mob who witnessed his brilliance week in, week out. There were tons of Murray threads in 2011, with many pained by his prospective and then eventual departure. Perhaps out decibel-d by the spiteful minority who then hated him, and those who saw CMS as The Messiah.

Many did but they were all *****, when Murray didn't perform for us it was because of a hernia that the Club didn't pick up and ****ed about with. When that was sorted he was our best striker since Zamora and before Ulloa.

Poyet completely ****ed it up.

Glenn Murray, quality striker and player. Always will be. Arrogant Poyet didn't rate the player, handing him on a free to CP.

Not really how it was though, Murray, who was in financial strife at the time, held the club to ransom demanding a signing on fee before signing a new contract. The club dug their heels in and Murray went to where the money was and pocketed the healthy signing on fee he wanted. There was no free transfer to Palace as he was a free agent and no longer a Brighton player.

Shit defending

THIS
Last season our only problem was lack of a decent strike force, this season we have a poor goal keeper weak defence incompetent midfield and no decent strikers. God only knows how much it will cost to rebuild the squad from scratch again, including the cost of a manager capable of the task in hand:albion2:

To be fair, we have had two old boys run us ragged again, alex revell and Glenn Murray. Murray looked so much better than everyone on the pitch and for him to not being able to get into palace's team, they must be world beaters!

It is actually painful watching how good he still is

Yes, and over 3 and half years with major injuries, later. Still class. Our memories of his brilliance in his last 2 years with us, do not deceive us.

You seem to forget Tony would not sanction the wages he was after, and the signing on fee, neither of which were extreme in the grand scheme of the larger picture, Gus had his hands firmly tied behind his back. With the full backing of the club including being able to keep Glenn Gus would have got us promoted to the PL in the 1st season at the Amex:albion2:

Great thread. How to encourage Palace fans over later

Well if they do come over just remind them what muppets they are for letting him go out on loan, He is still a class act and a far better player than that dwarf they paid£6 million for. Was glad when he was subbed and that change let us back in the game.
