I'm with Martin Tylor. Nothing spectacular about his performance, not the sort worth starting a thread to drawl over. Decent, but not really tested with the sort of shots that require top draw saves.

Genuinely surprised to see such a thread. It wasn't that sort of performance.

Can you let us know when you think it is worth someone starting a thread. I am genuinely surprised you are self appointed thread police.

No. People will just have to risk my disappointment with them.

Or to give a serious answer; I'm not saying what people can and can't start a thread over, just that, imo, this goalkeeping performance isn't worth it.

In my humble opinion Stockdale made the best save of the game, full stretch to his right to push away a looping effort. Stunning save.

Reading are going down to 'small' parachute payments next season, so clearly have to cut the wage bill or bust FFP.

Randolph who is leaving Birmingham would be a good choice as a keeper, assuming he doesn't go to the PL.

Someone from the Reading Sunday Lge Div 7 hopefully.

Is the correct answer.
His name is Alfie Williams. Pot-bellied, fag-smoking legend. Brilliant keeper if he'd only bother to train and get fit but Reading see potential. I have my doubts. At 5' 6" he would be one of the smaller keepers and the loss of one eye in a fight, a few years back, could be a handicap at this level.

And yet some on NSC will stick with the myth that players can't be signed for another 5 weeks....

Now confirmed at Bournemouth. Two keepers on free transfers in two days - do they realise you can only play one at a time?

FFP?

I can understand reducing the wage bill but I doubt anybody (except Barber) will be worrying about FFP.

Do they realise it is still only May? What are they thinking of-signing players so early?

Saw this thread bumped and got very excited at the thought of signing him. Quality keeper. Oh well.
