Spoken to Paul Reid a number of time srecently, he expects to be back in the frame for selection before Christmas. He had another injury to his groin area I think he said, which was preventing him from fully recovering from his previous injury. He's always very polite, but he is desparate to get back to playing.

AH is at lilleshall and the rest will probably be playing the res game tonight, although not sure about JL though.

Reid played 90 minutes in the last reserve game.
Forster played 45 but then got a bug which kept him out Saturday.
Lynch trained all last week but I think they are wrapping him in cotton wool after what happened last time.

I still enjoy a trip over to Worthing with our mates. I cancelled them last night because the reserves were off.
Are our two new triallists playing?

Joel Lynch made a successful return from a hamstring injury tonight in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Worthing at Woodside Road.

The central defender played for most of the 6-1 win for the Seagulls before being replaced by trialist Michael Kamara in the second half.

Albion also had a look at two other trialists; Portuguese left-back Carlos Sousa Da Mota played the full 90 minutes, while German keeper Jonas Sela played 45 minutes between the sticks for each side.

Nicky Forster, who has recovered from illness, gave manager Dean Wilkins something to think about ahead of the visit of Luton Town this weekend with an impressive performance and a two-goal salvo.

With Alex Revell due to go in for his hernia operation on Thursday, Forster's return is perfectly timed for the Seagulls.

The former Hull forward opened the scoring after an inch perfect free-kick from Sam Rents, before Doug Loft made it 2-0 to the Seagulls.

Nathan Elder then netted two headers from Forster crosses, either side of a Danny Davis penalty for the home side, making it 4-1 at half-time.

Forster finished off a Gary Hart header on the line to make it 5-1 after the break, before Rents completed the scoring with a powerful finish, again from a Forster centre.

Albion: (4-4-2) Sullivan (Sela 46); Mayo, Butters (Beda), Lynch (Kamara), Da Mota; Hart, Loft (Royce), Reid (Reid), Rents; Forster (Louis), Elder.

you mean him getting injured due to having to play on while white got on the phone to find out what wilkins wanted to do?

No, I mean him coming back quickly and then pulling a hamstring.

That was ridiculous though.
