Ferrari have announced they will quit Formula 1 at the end of the season if the sport continues with plans to enforce a £40m budget cap from 2010.
"No F1 in 2010 if the rules do not change," read a statement. "Ferrari does not intend to register cars for the 2010 F1 world championship."

Nice move. That should ensure the FIA drop their pants, and bend over just that little bit more for Ferrari.
Presumably, they don't want the budget cap to apply to them, and knowing the FIA and their love for all red Italian cars, they will get special dispensation blah blah blah.

They'll be in it next season, they're just threatening because they're in a sulk about the rule changes. Ferrari bring in so much revenue that the FIA will be practically on their knees to get them back.

Ferrari couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery at the moment. They f*** up getting drivers onto the track in qualifying and then they shortfill a car that has to bod home and get overtaken by about 3 cars on the last lap. They also have quite a shit car this season....so have reverted to a toy throwing tantrum because they won't be allowed to overspend every other team in pursuit of glory.
If it happened it'd probably a good thing for the sport because without the budget they'd only end up behind Force India on the grid anyway
They should go cap in hand to Red Bull and ask them how the f*** a comparitively small outfit can outperform Ferrari week in week out with the same engine.
