Feeling Down

My take on it is that AID has a low self esteem issue. These threads he does act to confirm and reinstate his low self esteem issues. He knows he will get abused and its almost what he expects to keep him down. The fact that people jump on it and hammer him into the ground thus making their own self esteem better is a trait of humanity I have seen all my life. Its the pack hunt mentality when people roam around and mercilessly destroy anything or anyone that appears weak.

Just because AID invites the abuse it does not mean people have to take up the invite.

Maybe he shouldn't post on NSC at all then.

I think you're complicating it. He's attention-seeking, probably because he gets no attention elsewhere. Talking about women he's stalking etc is nothing to do with self-esteem. He should be banned full-time

You'll be 30 and still a virgin before you know it.

1066, you think you've got it bad, I've got it worse!
This morning walking the hounds, I went to "pick up" after one of them and disn't realise that he bag I was using was obviously the last on the roll, and the end wasn't sealed. My hand popped through just as I made a grab for about half of pound of warm, steaming German Shorthaired Pointer Sh*t....
And then had to walk 3 miles home with a stinking hand (dock leaves just ain't what they used to be!)

There was a kid at my school who would invite abuse from people by doing similar things, putting himself down and winding people up at the same time (in reality, not a board) even going as far as to invite people to hit him and saying he wouldn't fight back. I'm not a phsychiatrist obviously, but I imagine that was very much tied up in self esteem and attention issues. He would also hit himself to get bruises and get attention at swimming lessons from the teacher who would then haul everyone into assembly and question who had been hitting him, the boy revelling in the attention and fuss he had caused.

His odd behaviour eventually came to the attention of the headmaster who had him removed and as far as I know he embarked on a long run of evaluation/child psychologists etc.

1066 reminds me of this behaviour. As US says he probably cannot help himself.

Has too much 'feeling down' by himself in front of the computer left him feeling down?

Some sound advice from Pinocchio...

When you get in trouble and you don't know right from wrong
Give a little whistle! Give a little whistle!
When you meet temptation and the urge is very strong
Give a little whistle! Give a little whistle!

Not just a little squeak, pucker up and blow
And if your whistle's weak, yell, "Jiminy Cricket!"
Right!

Take the straight and narrow path
And if you start to slide
Give a little whistle! Give a little whistle!
And always let your conscience be your guide.

You know what Sim, I am turning into him... my mail order Fillipino amputee bride just yesterday had to stop me bursting into a recruitment agency with a sawn off shotgun.
