Right in the middle of the Inquiry? I don't think so

wont happen, too cold so you'll get a poor turn out

Since Labour will win, whenever the election is held, a February election could mean that we get an earlier Falmer decision out of the government than we would if the Inspector took the full six weeks to write his report and there was an early May election.

It won't affect the Inquiry one jot.

Assuming Labour return to power (probable), and John Prescott is still DPM (ditto), AND he keeps the Planning portfolio (possible, but not definite), a February election wouldn't make a huge amount of difference.

One could even argue a certain benefit, beacuse if these three scenarios are met, it would blow Norman Baker's (and Falmer PC's) delaying tactics out of the water.

Edit: Oh bollocks - too quick for me...

A GE will not be until at least MAY. Feb is 5 weeks away and not enough time to organise one with all it means.

Blair is a wanker, but will get my support for the changes to the PORN laws since coming to power.

Under the Tories, if you wanted a bit of Frankie Vaughan, it was either pay £40 for a video of a tired slapper from Southend getting her baps out or 'The Lovers Guide' which featured a Professor type pointing at words such as 'Clitoris' and 'Boobies' on a blackboard, and some soft focus shots of a couple with big hair allegedly doing 'it' but the camera was too far away to see anything interesting.

Under TB, you can easily pop down to your local sex store and get a 3 hour DVD of people expressing their affection for one another in a non-patronising but adult manner. Admittedly the DVD does show 4 todgers lodged in 3 orifices, more meat than at Smithfield market, and finishes off with the 'lady' showing her appreciation of the gentlemen in the film by urinating over them whilst fellating the winner of the Hickstead Horse of the Year show, but it is progress.

Oh, and unemployment is down from 3million to 900,000 too.

On what do you base this profound optimism?

We all know Blair is a wanker, but against that Dickwad Howard...
But the eloctorate are voting on policies and fair play to britain, giving the commomn bod on the street some pride again, making the streets safer, getting the workforce back to work, sorting out the nhs(christ blair and his cronies have had enough time) education, education, education utter BS. Give the castle back to the englishman and giving people a reason to get up on a monday morning and say hey i'm going to make a difference today however small my contribution to all all things blighty.
We are a proud Island nation that has given into to the worst kind of terrorism, that's POLITICAL CORRECTNESS where people are afraid to express thier own individualality through fear of (how do I say this ) Offendinding somone. So yes the blue's mayby crying come 2005 but then I would say one thing
Congratulations Britain ... You've kept the same bunch of wankers to see us through to the end of the apocalypse

An election in February could see lots of angry hunters chasing Labour politicians all over the place. Now thats one blood sport we should encourage.
