The ref had a good game in terms of giving fouls imo but not consistent in giving cards, pompey should of had 2 players sent off, Thorne and Ben Haim both done a coule of fouls while on yellow's

Might as well not have f***ing bothered to be fair. Not being funny but the show is a complete mess. How can the "featured game" be on fourth and be less of a feature than both the Reading and Cardiff games? I wouldn't mind Brighton/Pompey not being the main game at all, but don't build it up to be something it's not going to be BBC.

It WAS supposed to be the first, full feature - even the iPlayer description basically just covers our game:

"Two south coast rivals with very different agendas meet as Brighton and Hove Albion welcome Portsmouth to The AMEX. Brighton were promoted from League One as champions last season under Gus Poyet, but the feel-good factor is such on the Sussex coast that promotion to the top flight is a distinct possibility.

Portsmouth's mood has been less jubilant, with the club having descended into administration for the second time in two years. The subsequent points deduction rocked the club to the core, and means that Pompey face a relegation battle to stay in the Championship.

Michael Appleten's beleaguered but talented Portsmouth side are sure to provide tough opposition for Brighton, though Albion will be looking to complete the double over them, having beaten Pompey one-nil at Fratton Park earlier in the season"

So I can only assume they ran out of time to do it, time on the show, or they had technical problems. Shame. :(

Better get used to be disappointed if we did go up we'd always be the team down to last couple of games on MOTD unless we caused an upset against one of the big boys . To us we're massive but to the rest we're just a small club always have been always will be .:albion2:

They got Vicente' s name back to front on the caption when he came on. And when they showed the footage of his second goal from the camera in the North Stand, you could see four empty seats in a row at the front of the West Stand Lower! Was there a fire drill?

What are their twitter contact details? Is it worth a 'campaign'?

The reason the game didn't get much airtime was basically it was a dull game
Take away the first 10/15 mins and the last 20 mins and there wasn't much else to show
First half was especially poor and was probably the worst half I have seen at home this season littered with mistakes (both teams giving the ball away far too easily)
I noticed we came out for the 2nd half swiftly, Gus probably told the players to get back out there as soon as possible to get the 1st half out of their system
Portsmouth were dire all game

I have rarely disagreed with a post more. I don't agree with any of what you have written there. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole game.

Could they not have shown the smoke grenade? Brez's save in the first half, Navarro's charged down shot in the first half... Plenty of action, dire coverage.

I tapped to talk.

Good grief: we got more coverage than any other match and people are complaining because it wasn't the first game on? :ffsparr:

I can't be the only one not bothered what the order is. Who cares if they show 30 seconds of Saints or West Ham first?

I bet you any money fans of every single club cry to the BBC "you never feature us, boo hoo", week in, week out. They have 72 teams to cover, it's a squeeze. And would fans of the other 70 clubs really give a TOSS about seeing a smoke flare on the pitch?

Get over it, move on.

Or maybe they just shouldn't bill it as being the featured game when it clearly wasn't? We all know it is a pretty poor show anyway, but if they big it up and then don't actually show anything, it is a bit annoying. Especially after sitting through a very dull MOTD aswell.

if it was the "feature" how come the bald headed little geezer that everyone is best mates with was crawling up the arses of the Reading players in the corridor outside their changing rooms? Shouldn't he have been at the Amex giving high fives to Nooney and Buckers ???

Poor show and wish they had let us have another look at Adam knocking Futaks off the ball although at least they did clear up the "not a handball" for Kaz's assist.
For a team who, in all fairness, had worked so hard defensively, both goals were almost comical in their degree of cupability - jumping over and out of the way of the first and for the second, dithering over an easy clearance then claiming the hand ball but not bothering to play on - two of them just stood out wide while Kaz moved in to lay it off to Vicente? Sunday league stuff!

Oh, and MK, "making things up and talking drivel" is the long hand definition for tv football punditry

They billed it as ONE of the two featured games. Which it was (& of those two it was the main one). They always send that Clem bloke to a different club each week, he does a sort of "off the pitch" piece.

Reading had been moaning at their lack of coverage hence they went there too (as well as the fact they're on a great run).

I honestly can't see what the fuss is. The programme only has a limited time. What exactly do people expect??

In my opinion, a featured game should show all of the shots on target, some of the shots off target, all of the yellow/red cards and - naturally - all of the goals.
On these grounds, it was pathetic coverage.

Them saying that we're the 'featured game' should mean that we're on first. I'm not saying we should, but the extended highlights weren't that extended...

Agreed, what's the point of saying that Ben Haim was on a yellow when he clattered Nooney when they didn't show the original foul AND the subsequent one in the first half.

They probably showed less of it because it was a slightly crap game. There's not a conspiracy against us not to show our games.
