Baddiel and Skinner re-enactment was the first thing that jumped to my mind - would be great to get some ex (non Albion) footballers to play the parts...
Sorry. I’ve dropped in on this late and haven’t read through the rest of the thread. Crowdfunding would certainly be a way to go. I’m sure you’ve already considered this but just in case...
One of my favourite bands, I Like Trains, had a fantastic documentary made about them and the two creators crowdfunded the whole thing (A Divorce Before Marriage, if you’re interested). It’s a beautiful thing. Looks a million dollars but was crowdfunded for far less.
If or when it comes to it, please do consider going down that route. I’d definitely put my hand in my pocket for this. I’d also be very happy to offer any assistance you might need elsewhere, not that I’ve necessarily got the skill set to do so. I can do still photography if you want anything for the “making of” DVD extra.
