The decision was made by Hebberd and his cronies, not the police.

As a Manure fan Hebberd will have known a large contingent of FCUM supporters travelling down could also pose problems in London and the motorway services as they will be seen as ManUtd 2 fans by some firms.

Working class pride is a brighton "fan" I believe. Likes to complain about how hard it is to get a ticket, if you go back to any of the "I'm having trouble ordering online/phoning the ticket office" threads, he's posted in most of them criticising the club.

Yes mate I'm a fan, as was my dad, grandad and even great grandad went one or twice, so need for the " ". Unlike BHA Express, I will not resort to insults, although the irony in his post is amusing. However the issue with the club (actually no issue with the club or chairman) is with the middle management that seem to have the wrong attitude. They work out ways of giving themselves things to do that go against selling tickets to people that want them, hence there were tickets sold only to members for Charlton v Brighton in a capacity of 28000 and a crowd of, as a result...18000. Brainless. I also stand up for kids that want to sing and stand at Brighton as they do at Liverpool, even though I'm old and don't want to anymore. The middle management at Brighton are there to serve us, that means help - not hinder. I hope you are able to follow that.

Have we got time to have a GIANT FLAG made out of this?

May I offer sincere apologies from all FC fans and fans of all other clubs world wide

After reading the above I think its time now that a new law was passed that any football club in the future that has any problems that the fans meekly just give up

It seems that
there is no point in the future of any fans protest any more because they simply just could not match your protest

Never in my life did I expect the chicken mourners from Self pity city to lose their title

I look forward to reading my dads bigger then your dad next issue

This. As regards the ticket allocation I wish they could ahve had allt eh tickets they want but no matter what people say it was a police decision... not the club.

However...... for god's sake if we wish to be proud of our fight then we have a right but we just demean ourselves but thinking that our fight is any different from other's... the context was different but the goals are the same. If we want the respect we deserve then we should be just as ready to dish out respect to those who hae in similar fashion fought the moneybags who try to diss football down.

Frankly if you post something stupid you'll get told so, try to to cry about it just because I didn't know that you think you're an uber fan.

I would love to see where you get this against the law idea from which would then mean almost every FC fan should have been arrested at almost every game that they have watched so far with almost all away games being played at grounds half the size of yours with pay on the gate and no segregation policed by a couple of hobby bobbies and some old committee members in fact a very large majority of games have had no police presence at all

it is against the law in all segregated stadiums in the FL. At the level you're at there doesn't have to be any segregation so it's not a problem.

Thanks for that, I know I saw it somewhere, I imagine something to do with the FLA, on Police advice etc. It would/could have consequences for anyone unfortunate enough to get caught out on this, stadium bans, police record, fine, etc.

Forgive me, but you only ever seem to post on here criticising the club with regards to tickets, and occasionally the stewarding. I don't recall any posts of yours about games, signings, about the team, performances and so on, which makes it seem like you (or your id) exist only to take potshots at the club whenever you can.

There is anonther way of looking at this that may have involved the club in the final decision, something along these lines. The SAG don't really like the idea of having a second segregated area at the game, but the police say " I suppose we can handle it, but if you want our approval, you will need an extra x number of extra stewards and we want to have a couple of dozen officers in the ground that you, the club, will have to pay for" Lets say the police charge £40 per hour for an officer (no idea if that's correct, but seems a reasonable figure), and they insist on just 25 in the ground for 4 hours, well, that's £4k, plus the cost of the extra stewards, to get an income which could well be less than £4k, after taking concessions into account, so we decide it's not worth the bother of issuing the extra tickets, purely on financial grounds.
From our point of view, the only reason for selling extra tickets is to make some money, so if we are actually subsidising the away team to come to the match, it's a bit of a no brainer really!

I am a casual fan these days for various reasons. I normally go to games with a mixed group of a couple of us that follow the albion and a number that dont (including girlfriends who only are there for the day out). These days out get harder to arrange because of the actions of the BHA middle management and yes it is tiresome when stewards also spend their time trying to tell kids who are doing nothing more than kids at Liverpool are doing to sit down. Let the kids enjoy themselves and let me arrange to go to games with work colleagues, friends and non albion fans, as i go to lots of other clubs other than the albion. If the middle management ar brighton continue to act in a customer unfriendly way then they will, quite rightly, continue to have it pointed out. The albions middle management need to wind their necks in and stop making games like Charlton (with a capacity of 28000 which had a crowd of 18000 for us) members only and all ticket.

£10 for a lifetime white membership. Treat them to it as a Christmas present. It's really not all that much when you probably spend double that on a takeaway.

Mate, really, dont be so daft. I am not going to ask half the department or all my mates to become albion members, and pay £10 a time! I am not a member of Chelsea, Orient, Millwall, Arsenal, Spurs and I go with friends to all of these clubs (and most other London clubs) when I have friends and colleagues who are off to a game. Its brighton that need to sort themselves out, I am the customer. Also that would have not solved the Charlton debacle for my colleague that decided they fancied going on the Friday and me having to tell them that some plonka had made it members only

Really?

For Arsenal you have to be a Red Member for any EPL or CL games, otherwise you cannot buy tickets from the club, they simply are not available.

For Spurs, you need membership to buy high profile match tickets, and for normal matches your ticket will cost upwards of £60, and you still have to register. (membership at the Albion is £10, for life)

For Chelsea, the same as Spurs, but tickets are closer to £70 a time, membership required for high profile games.

Millwall, likewise, high profile games require membership to buy tickets (and you have to link up with your mates to buy together), membership costs £13.

Do you see a pattern here?

Albion v Charlton was deemed High Profile, rightly so seeing as how many fans went, it was all ticket, tickets were available to members only. Why do you find this so difficult to grasp?

As you ask:-
Arsenal and Spurs - with work
Chelsea, mainly Champions league (£30 a ticket for group games - been twice this year and no Im not a member)
Orient - with mates, turn up on the day and beer in their social club, a great day out
Millwall - friends, and dont have to be a member

Albionv Chrarlton, dont be daft. The Valley holds 28000 and the crowd was 18000. They turned away about 3 in my group who were not members of either bha or Charlton and who supported neither albion or charlton. Now they are turning away custom from FCUM. Brainless and officious.

Football is increasingly becoming something that you cannot simply decide last minute to do, and turn up. This is for a myriad of reasons (some valid, some not so valid), and is a trend across all (league) clubs in the country. To try and blame the club (especially for ticketing arrangements at The Valley, where it is Charlton who decide what the ticketing arrangements are) is ridiculous and, quite frankly, wrong.

Not many FCUM will be white members or been to withdean ever! Turning away their custom when we wont sell the tickets s the same officious brainless mentality that turned Charlton v Brighton into an all ticket members game and resulted in the ground being 10000 under capacity with many people turned away. Its another issue tho why we wont sell the tickets as league games have been selling out
