Football Club de Nantes (Breton: Naoned, Gallo: Naunnt), commonly referred to as FC Nantes or simply Nantes (French pronunciation: [nɑ̃t]), is a French association football club based in Nantes, Pays de la Loire. The club was founded on 21 April 1943, during World War II, as a result of local clubs based in the city coming together to form one large club. From 1992 to 2007, the club was referred to as FC Nantes Atlantique before reverting to its current name at the start of the 2007–08 season.

You're right although Loire-Atlantique and the Vendee are part of the Pays de la Loire.

It definitely isn't in Brittany.

I don't know where people are getting the nonce pronounciation as it is Nunt or Narnt.

Nantes is historically and culturally part of Brittany, a former capital no less. The pays de Loire was only created last century, and most Nantais will tell you they are Breton

Nantes is in the Vendee, unlike Rennes, which is Breton.

We drive through Nantes to get to our holiday destination. One of the easier peripheriques to negotiate.

Only politically. It's a bit like saying the Pantiles are in Kent. But they'll always be in Sussex. More children in Nantes have bilingual (Breton/French) schooling than any other city.

Very pleased with this, Sporting do not deserve to grace the Amex.

A good chance for us to make a nice relationship with a French club, could be mutually beneficial in the longer term.

Depends how well the contract was written, as to whether they can weedle their way out.

I can’t see us wasting any sort of time and money chasing this incident through. It’s just not worth it, contracts in such scenarios as this are more a formality than used as a vehicle for legal action. Sometimes it’s best to just let it go and look forward :)

Nantes FC announce new signing through a video game.

I quite like this idea, where Ligue 1 club Nantes, who have used the Fortnite video game to cook up a very clever clip to announce the arrival of Lucas Evangelista from Udinese.

The video features the Nantes manager, Miguel Cardoso, as a character in the game, who runs after two players before opening a door to reveal the Brazilian midfielder with the words “Ben vimdo” (‘welcome’ in Portuguese)
