Just having an office discussion, how do you pronounce this?
Is it FC BARSLE or FC BARL?
I always thought it was the second, but i seem to remember commentators thinking it was the first, any ideas?

One of the guys in our office is the Swiss 'expert', and fluent in French, German and about 3 other languages, and he pronounces is BARSLE, so that's good enough for me.

Depends on where in Switzerland you come from!

A Swiss friend of mine from the south east of the country says 'Barl', but the people I know who live there say 'Barzul', except for one who says 'Barl'! I wonder if it's about first language?

german swiss would call it bar-zal
french swiss would call it barl

so call it what you fancy!
