Ernie "Kiwi" Kingston. Bet no-one remembers him or Jackie Pallo.

I remember Jackie Pallo, Blondish with longish hair as I recall and used to favour striped trunks ?

Love a bit of wrestling entertainment. One of my mates is a prominent name in British Wrestling and I've seen him live a few times and it's great entertainment.

May I ask who?

My Dad was a big wrestling fan, so as a kid in the 70s and 80s most of my Saturday afternoons at 4pm were spent watching World of Sport (along with all the other "grapple fans"), up until about 4:40pm, when the footie scores started coming through on the vide-printer.

Along with some of the names already mentioned on this thread, I remember the likes of Jim Breaks (and his "special"), Honey Boy Zimba, Mal Sanders and Marty Jones.

We also went along to see some live bouts at the Winter Gardens in Eastbourne a few times.

Does this sort of wrestling still take place in the UK?

Someone has voted for the 1-2-3 Kid. Can't say I saw that one coming

I liked Mick McManus. Anyone else remember him?, or am l at 108 the oldest person ever to post on this site?
I may be not quite as old as you - only 105 - but certainly remember mr McManus, and Jackie Pallo, and Big daddy and Giant Haystacks, both of whom were probably slightly later. My favourite was Billy Two Rivers, who used to come on in a full Indian headdress.

Couldn't cope with any of the bunch named above.
