Good to see EG getting the plaudits it deserves, just a shame the bags lose their potency so quickly, even in an airtight caddy.

I’m not too fussy about the brand of tea, but I do like it to stew for a while. A tea pot is obviously great for that, but if I have to use the teabag in the cup then I like it to leave it for a while. I like to taste the tea.
I would also suggest my favourite cup of tea is an Ashes cup of tea. Getting up at some god awful hour of the morning when we’re the playing the Aussies down under, that first cup of tea for some reason tastes better than any other cup I’ll have all week.

Looking at the amount of Others, I may have misjudged the amount of poll options haha.

Earl Grey has 7 'votes' based on the comments so far so is technically third behind the leader Yorkshire Tea and technically second placed PG Tips.

Luaka Ceylon. T bags.

Only Twinings (new rip off prices) comes close sometimes.

Earl Grey - WTF! Seriousy people? Give me real tea that stains the cup and packs a punch. Not something mixed with High Karate - sorry Bergamot, coz we all cherish Bergamot don't we?

I only began drinking tea regularly a year or so ago. Before then I just thought of it as hot, flavoured water. Now I drink more tea than actual plain tap water.

Mind you, it has to be green tea. Don't want any "commoner's teabag" staining my lovely teeth.

Snobby as that sounds, I go for cheap-as-chips own brand value green tea. None of this "Twinings" malarkey. My local gym actual has a massive box of free PG Tips green tea samples, which I have calmly pocketed by the dozen after my workouts lately.

Have recently obtained a box of M&S Chai Tea and I have to say it is really lovely. Made with mixed spices, it smells strongly of cinnamon and is very refreshing. Otherwise usually go for Assam.

The poll implied brand name (which means the buyer? unless direct imports?) type of tea by place of origin, or herb additives, or a plant other than tea, or do you prefer blends?

Take the Yorkshire T railway up the hill to the plantation :jester:

PG Tips, always have this at home.
I drink tea when I'm working in customers homes but I never ask what brand of tea it is, but I can't stand Earl Grey.
I also don't like green tea or fruit tea, I call it hippie tea or Lewes tea.
