Agree. Not an auction show, but way more interesting to see the characters they buy from. My main complaint about it though is that I really don't think they can show us any more gas station signs that we have not already seen.

All of these shows are contrived to a greater or lesser extent, but the characters who sell, the range of Americana and the personality of Mike and Frank make this show a winner. Loving the phrase "rusty gold".

I don't watch either of these shows, I quite like Auction Hunters though.

Not the same since Dave Hester left in disgust st the planting of bizarrely valuable non dusty $1000 stuff in an attempt to spice the viewing up

Knowing that it is staged makes it boring to me.

The first series I was hooked, I stupidly believed it could possibly be real.

As it went on though, it became clear that it was all stagged and that no one in their right mind would leave something worth $5,000 in a storagge lock up and not collect it.
