MOH has had the temerity to have a self indulgant thread about Mr Kubrick so hell here is my self indulgent thread about the master.

wherever the money is
Asking for one from such a good set of movies is very difficult. Have gone for Schindlers but could have picked all but about 3 of his movies in that list.

I saw Close Encounters in 1977 at the age of 15 and Spielberg had me hooked. That film totally blew me away. I saw it 7 times at the cinema.

Empire of the Sun is my favourite of all of them, but there are still some others that are awesome too. However both Munich and War of the Worlds are wank.

It was wank, overly long, but still didn't tell the true story, just the story that Spielberg wanted to tell. Even though it was nearly 3 hours they still managed to make the ending seem sudden and leave a lot of the story untold.

Hook has surely got to be up their with the most teeth-grinding waste-of-money indulgences in cinema history

Wheres the option for none?

Seconded.

He is the most over-rated film director of all time and someone might point in in the direction of a few history books before he makes his next "epic:dunce: " historically based film.

All of his films are of a consistant standard so impossible to choose.

He'll never be a great director because he didn't make Soccer Dog. The greatest film of all time.
