I have very very fond memories of A Forest. I bought A Forest on 12" when it came out. I remember being a little confused at to what a 12" single was. Years later I also spent one Xmas holiday at university learning to play this track on my bass guitar. I never did master the track, or the guitar for that matter.

We are incorrectly talking about them in the past sense - they are still going. However it is true that they haven't done anything to match their 80s peak.

Whilst it is not in my top three Cure albums, Wish (1992) has some brilliant tracks on it.

The Kiss and How Beautiful You are, are personal faves. The whole of Disintegration is wonderful, probably the 'Biggest' sound of any live band I've seen.
A Forrest(sic) , Jumping Someone Else's Train, 100 Years, just a great band really...

'Pornography' or 'Cold' for me.

Fat Bob was my local hero growing up (although he wasn't actually from Crawley)...my dad claims he taught some of The Cure 'English for Engineers' or some such course at Crawley Colege :)
