I honestly think it tops the Sergio Leone's. You just CANNOT top the script.

Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer were so amazing. I don't even think I could insert Clint Eastwood in there, which is ridicuous.

It’s just one of those strange films that came out of nowhere. None of the actors are ones that I’m a particular fan of but they all put in amazing performances and created this near-perfect film.

Directed by two people, original director being replaced, which rarely works) he only seems to have directed Rambo 2 previously.

It seems Kurt Russell pretty much directed it.

It shouldn’t be so good. Yet it’s outrageously excellent.

Whilst still at school I worked at the Academy cinema in West Street in the evenings. All the cinema posters were kept in cardboard tubes and they let me keep any that I wanted. I ended up with a huge collection of SMUTTY posters as the cinema championed this genre of films. The photo will give you the gist.

Have you ever seen this website? One of my favourite films, not a conventional war movie in any sense of the word, more a meditation on good and evil.

Is Kurtz evil? Is Willard good? Kilgore is clearly mad.
