Seeing the other thread about Terry Jones got me thinking about Mony Python.

Brilliant together but for me Eric Idle just eclipses the others.

I'm going for Michael Palin, purely for this one scene, that always makes me laugh.

Tough one - I probably prefer the work they all did after Python

Palin/Jones - Ripping Yarns
Cleese - Fawlty Towers
Idle - Rutles/Rutland weekend Television
Terry Gilliam -Time Bandits/Brazil/Twelve Monkeys

I'll go for Palin - Ripping Yarns was probably my favourite of the lot.

Anyone here old enough to remember the precursor to the Pythons, "Do Not Adjust Your Set" which featured three Pythons in the form of Idle, Jones and Palin together with a very young David Jason. Compulsive after school watching in B & W on ITV for an eight year old Potting.

Also with the Bonzos including the brilliant Viv Stanshall.

My first thought before opening this thread was Cleese, for what he did during and after Python. But then reading about Idle and Palin and you start to err a bit. Special mention to Palin for Lumberjack.
