Copeland and Hosking for me. Up to that point, I had managed to miss seeing any of our golds live, and Katherine's reaction was priceless. Last night though I could hardly see for the tears streaming down my face. I am an unashamed British patriot, but not in the ghastly "ten German bombers" way of some of our football fans. My London church is running an outreach, which includes having a big screen so visitors can come in and watch the games. A highlight for me was watching the swimming on Friday evening with a lovely Catalan family. Though I was disappointed that Rebecca Adlington only came third, I was able to share in their joy as the Spanish swimmer came second.

This whole weekend with 6 golds yesterday, Ben this morning and Murray's two medals this afternoon. What a fantastic 2 days of sports of all variaties.
