For me watching the reaction on Katherine Copelands face after the lightweight pairs had won gold and seeing her mouth the words, "Weve won the Olympics" before breaking into tears.

Lovely moment.

Probably Mo Farah winning last night. It completed an unbelievable day.

The best ever night on the track in my living memory without doubt Smithy.

Absolutely. Just before she said it, I'm sure she looked behind her just to check there isn't another boat that she'd missed.

For me it was Jess Ennis in the final event, she was sat in about 4th on the final bend and that would still have been good enough for the gold medal but, no she wanted to win that 800 M too.

So just on the bend she dropped a cog and roared through to take the race and the gold. So much pressure and so much hard work but it was all worth it as she crossed the line !

Some incredible moments from all of the above and more, but I'll go for Chris Hoy, Jason Kenny and Philip Hindes winning the Mens Team Sprint on Thursday.

2 things:

Katherine Copelands expression on realising they'd won gold.
The South African swimmers (la Cross?) father being interviewed, a fathers pride and love shone through.

It's hard to pick a highlight out of such an amazing evening. Loved it all.

I remember seeing that too, I think he wanted to jump down from the commentary position without using the steps to be with his son ! He beat Phelps by a fingertip I believe

Lovely moment.

For me it was her next comment.

'We're going to be on a stamp!'

That's what I love about the rowing, you can see their faces clearly all race, and the human emotions are one of the best thing about sports. Katherine was great, she said it with such bemusement.
