Well, I subscribe to FHM, Maxim (the UK versions) and Q. Can get all here but I would say I prefer FHM overall.

James Brown is a great editor - the original "Loaded" was a real breath of fresh air in the same way that "Jack" has been and the original "Arena" was before that.

Hmmm.... Mr Brown loves taking all the credit for Loaded, when others (ie deputy editor Tim Southwell) were also responsible.

And he hasn't been involved with a successful magazine since. His time on GQ was a disaster. His movie mag Hotdog flopped and was sold. Ditto with Jack.

Don't think he'll be doing another lad's mag any time soon. He's got a kid now and has been off booze and drugs for three years.

Good read, although it was heavily edited for legal reasons.

FHM for the jokes. Loaded looks like a comic these days. Mens mags are ridiculously dear now, and as they seem to be getting larger they're becoming harder to nick!

I think they are all crap - put pretty girls on the front and it makes you buy it! - and yes we all fall for it!
Lets face it the content isnt great.
If you want FHM/Maxim shit - just go and buy a porno - all pics - no shit articles about how to go bungie jumping in Kenya and cheaper (I suspect).

Only buy FHM twice a year, once for the calender and one for the top 100 women.

Thats about the same as me, except one more for when I go on holiday. That said its three more issues than I buy of any of the other mags listed so I went for FHM
