Yes I'll put him as my favourite, liked that sometimes he ballsed it up but just accepted it.
Least favourite Jammy Olive.

Favourite is Jamie Oliver. Not for his TV shows but for his recipes. Very simple and very effective. Revolutionized the way I roast meat.

I like Rick too, I think they key this is that you can relate to them and actually cook the dishes in a normal kitchen on a normal day . . . As opposed to a 24 hour £5k marathon that could well end up in the dog!

I believe that she has never had any training as a chef whatsoever, and never worked as a chef. But that really isn't the point of her programmes, is it

Keith Floyd was an arse. I was in training at HMS Raleigh( Leading Cooks course, not basic training) when he came to do one of his Floyd on Fish programmes. He arrived by helicopter, the down draught of which blew the ‘galley’ we had built out of waste timber, scrap iron etc over 2 days to shit. The premise of that section of the course was we had landed in a place where some kind of disaster had happened and we had to build a functioning galley out of scrap and feed 100 people.

He was just obnoxious and treated his poor young researcher, who actually did all the prep etc, like the shit on his shoe.

Anthony Worral-Thompson isn’t a very good cook.

I really can't stand "professional northerner" james martin, and now that I know he's thoroughly unpleasant I like less. The hairy bikers seem pleasant enough but really aren't cooks. For all of his lad persona Oliver is a good chef. My own faves, sadly very little seen on TV but celebs nonetheless are Sean Brock & April Bloomfield

She often raises a point to me.
As an aside her mother’s story is quite interesting although somewhat tragic. Heiress to the catering giants Lyon’s back in the day before awful eating disorders blighted her life. A true socialite.
