Not pundit, main man.

Highly subjective I know, but I do enjoy Conor McNamara.

Jon Champion mentioned in dispatches.

Mike Ingham. Absolutely superb commentary.

Other sports - Mike Costello. Incredible commentator.

Listened to both on 5live over the last 20 years, their skills transport you to front row seats - you can picture everything. Far superior to TV commentary.

The worst has to be cliche Clive. Likeable bloke, but terrible commentary. "It's Rooney! ... Remember the name!" was a goodun, but deary me... He tries that every match. Very disappointing.

It was always Brian Moore for me, and I once got to meet him. He was a great guy, despite being a Gillingham fan.

Full disclosure: Simon Brotherton is a personal friend but is underrated and deserves a mention. He had to cover that game when Arsenal wore white shirts with white numbers and didn't get any identifications wrong He's good on correct pronunciations of foreign names. And despite being a Villa fan, he managed to feign delight when Wolves came from behind to beat them 3-2. Top professional, heard at his best on cycling.

Moore, Davies and Ingham were all legendary. Peter Drury and Ian Cocker ok in current era.
