For me, i never get tired of watching The Third Man. Bloody marvellous and moody and deliberately muddled.
Harry Lime emerging from the shadowy doorstep and his adlib speech on the Switzerland sole invention, the cuckoo clock, never fail to amuse and thrill me. And the twinging, twanging end score is gripping. An overall bloody excellent film.

Agree 100%.

That or High noon, or Once Upon a Time in the West, depending on mood.

Or A Matter of Life and Death...

Pedantic observation about 'that' Harry Lime speech. Good as it was, it is factually incorrect. The Swiss did not invent the Cuckoo Clock. It originated in the Black Forest. Which is in Germany.

On a side note, not quite my favourite film, but I watched Angels With Dirty Faces again last night, and had forgotten how excellent that is.

Almost famous brilliant film. Bit of a war film fan too & the longest day has yet to be surpassed in my opinion

Galaxy Quest anybody?

Shame on me,I'm a Shawshank and Lord of the Rings person, though Wizard of Oz should be watched at least once a year.
