Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul album Men Without Women' is a classic. Any track off this album is worthy:
Going a bit OT yes this is a good album but imho the sound does owe a debt to Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, the second greatest band to come out of Asbury Park and one that I would love to have seen in their prime.
Saw him supporting "The Quo" on their 1984 farewell tour, totally wrong music for the audience and they went down like the proverbial bucket of cold sick with stuff being thrown at them. The venue - good ole Smelhurst Park! Have just dug out their "greatest hits" album on Spotify and will give it a listen to remind me of an E-street spin off band.
