wherever the money is
I used to go to see Whitehawk instead of the albion when I was younger as it was all I could afford. It was the days of Mark Dunk and Malcolm Judge which was at least 17 years ago now.

I hate to break it to you all but Burgess Hill don't play in the county league.

Rookie, a few of my mates play for St Francis, although I have no idea where i'm going with this :shootself

Was YMCA as I played for them for 10 years.

(That was before they were good!)

They don't count now though as gone up to the Ryman's League.

Another Ringmer (that's 3 of us).

I first moved there in 1969 and remember that at that time there were FA notices posted around the ground threatening that it might be closed owing to a fight that had taken place a few matches previously betwen spectators and the ref!

When not following the Albion (not enough Pocket Money!) I used to go up the Caburn and remember the great days of the FA Cup run to 1st round in the 70/71 season (lost 3-0 at Colchester the same season they beat Leeds 3-2), winning the County Championship on the last day of the season and getting over 1300 in the ground to watch us lose to Southwick (boo!). Then in 73 we won the Sussex Senior Cup at the Goldstone 1-0 v Eastbourne Utd.

I have a Ringmer shirt which sits proudly amongst my collection of Albion ones and occasionally catch a game when I go down to Sussex. And the clubroom has Harvey's on handpump (or did last time I was there in early 2005).
