For what it's worth, my dad makes a mean Christmas cake with a layer of icing thick enough to build an igloo with. That - and dollops of custard - is a winning combo.

Yule log is a worthy runner-up.

Mince pies are truly the food of Satan himself.

They truly are not.
Mince pies are superb, I like the puff pastry ones with a nice creamy custard.
I also like quality Christmas pudding has to be moist with a touch of alcohol, again with custard
I like custard.
