Favourite Brighton Manager of all time??

For me it has to be Jimmy Melia, for the wins at Anfield, Highbury and the great day out at Wembley.
Mullery next for the promotions and the air of optimism around the club that was infectious as a young lad in the chicken run.
Someone's already mentioned Brian Horton and I do wonder where we'd be and what the journey would have been like if he'd stuck around.

Any one who includes McGhee in their worst needs a big reality check. Play off final and two seasons in the Championship with bog all money, yeah definately the worst.

Mullery - he may have picked up a side that the talent spotting of Peter Taylor had put together but that period under him was simply fantastic. Even our new Chairman has quoted wanting to bring back for the current and future generations that good time feel experienced during the 'glory days' as a motivating factor for pumping the money in.

Next Cattlin and Adams.

Coppell also but his time with us was really too short.

I also agree that so far Slade has all the 'X factor' makings of being in the exceptional and best category - it now depends if he can continue to deliver over the next two seasons.

My happiest memories are of when Bailey was in charge. Probably because I was a kid and had just got hooked on the Albion. Still, he did get us to our highest ever potision in the top flight if I am not mistaken. That's got to count for something.

Cattlin for me, the man liked to attack and was in charge when I got properly into the Albion as a nipper.

Gritt's right behind him - a legend for all time.

Brian Clough for kickstarting our most successful era.
Mullers for getting us there.
Adams for turning us round and making us successful again in sh*t circumstances.
Coppell for his brains.
Big Russ because I KNOW hes gonna do the business.

Agree with all the above. Be great if Russ could establish himself as one of the greats after the start he made last season. Be nice to feel, by the end of October, that there is a plan, and we are going to see it through.
