Catch 22 and The Grapes Of Wrath are neck and neck for me.

I loved Grapes of Wrath, one of my favourites but I found Catch 22 irritating and couldn't finish it although I probably didn't give it enough of a chance as I gave up quite early. I liked the film versions of both books however.
