Yeah but why would anyone pay to watch a man playing records, if I wanted to do that I'd pay my uncle brian to get his LP collection out the loft and turn th hi-fi separates up to 11

Would your loft have loads of scantily clad women in it ? Would you be on mind bending drugs in the loft ? Would your Uncle Brian know what tunes to drop at exactly the right time to take you to another level ?

Judging by my previous posts on this thread, I am of course joking. I've done plenty of mind bending drugs to UNCLE CARL dropping techno bombs, oh yes oh yes oh yes :rave:

NO!!! Everyone will be on the pitch so there will be plenty of space. There's no seats, no picnics, no light ripple of applause after each track etc etc.

385k watt sound system, smoke and LAZERS!!!! And probably an air-horn or two.

I was delivering to the stadium the other week, and got chatting to some of the staff about the gig and they mentioned that they had been told by security that the station would be shut.
Not sure if it's true or that they've got their wires crossed.

I doubt they will shut the station. For a start Southern Rail wouldn't want to lose out on the income generated from people using the trains to get there. And there would be no way that whilst some bright spark would have the idea of closing the train station for this.

Like I said, didn't know if it was true or not just what I had been told, I did think it was a bit strange to be fair.

Yes on a beach I get it, might even be tempted to have a boggie myself, beer in hand if free and pissed enough. But seriously, will 20/30 thousand people really buy a ticket to watch a dj spin records. Correct me if i'm wrong but that is what he/it is. A famous dj, standing with a pair of headphones on, queueing up discs and playing them, while he waves his hands around a lot in the air and wiggles about a bit, with a good light show behind him. That's a light show not an actual person with any talent......Utter crap!!!I'd be amazed if it sells out, I wouldn't cross the road to watch it.
sums it up , OLD PALS ACT REALLY ISN'T IT ...................... I'LL LINE YOUR POCKETS AND YOU'LL LINE MINE.

Hopefully going to get 2 tickets for the Saturday night but need a hotel for me and the other half to stay in after. Have looked online and the cheapest I can find is Jurys Inn at £160 which is more than I wanted to pay for basically just a few hours kip. Does anyone know of somewhere cheap but ok to stay on a Saturday night around Brighton?
