FAO Season Ticket holders

With everyone moaning about the amount of people in the ground for matches, and non-STH moaning about the price, (me included), what would you do if the club said that all the tickets for the remaining games were £15?

Would you write a letter of complaint to the club saying that you have already payed for your season ticket and thus you are paying more for your seat.

Or

would you just accept the loss as you have already payed it and look forward to a full withdean, better atmosphere and hopefully a few more wins under the belt?

Discuss...

I no longer have a season ticket but if I did I'd have no problem with them selling tickets cheaper now. I only bought a season ticket to guarantee I'd have a seat though and now I buy as and when I can go, paying for 12 odd tix I didn't use seemed a bit wasteful. I fear quite a few season ticket holders may feel differently though and it opens up a can of worms as to whether it is worth having a season ticket with so many empty seats likely to be available next year. Especially if reducing seat prices becomes a regular occurence.

I would accept that the club are doing the best they can to get the crowds in, and reluctantly accept the price drop for the remaining games. They could reflect a saving in the new ST applications due next month (I imagine)

Can't blame the club for trying to fill the ground for the remainder of the season. Else there would be no point in having a marketing department. I'm sure the usual whingeing shit STH suspects will see it differently tho.

Shouldn't that read suspect, not suspectS?

I did think about suggesting this to the club, but i guessed that the response would be that the season ticket holders have already paid for their ticket and would moan about a price drop.

think i might make a poll to use as 'evedance'!

The main reason I have a season ticket is to stop Mrs Spiros from trying to convince me to do other things than visit Withdean of a Saturday afternoon. It means I have at least 23 'prior engagements' if I'm asked to mow the lawn, do the shopping, mend the fence, wash the car etc. I know the price at the time I renew and accept it. If the club decide to drop the game by game price half way through a season in order to attract bigger crowds and create more of an atmosphere then I'm all for it. At the end of the day the club will only survive if they can continue to get more bums on seats. If I end up sitting next to someone who got in for a quid because the club have empty seats to fill then I'd much rather see that than see the same empty seat week in, week out.

I'm another of those nasty STH's. It wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

wherever the money is
I would be miffed but then again I have bought my ticket to have a good seat etc and thus accept the club will have to do this sort of thing. I am not renewing next year though due to this as I like most are after the best deal possible and buying a season ticket does not equate to value for money any more :nono:

I want the club to be as successful as possible and make as much money as possible, so that we can muddle through until we get Falmer.

Dropping the ticket prices has to be the right thing to do this season (and next). If they don't bring in more people this season, it's all wasted capacity and lost revenue opportunities, which means the club is poorer and will need STHs and casual attendees alike to pay more for tickets in the future. The atmosphere against Forest was significantly better than almost every other game this season and we clearly need more of that.

Some may think it unfair, but they should be in a very small minority. It's a win-win situation as far as I'm concerned.

I am a season-ticket holder. I don't care if the club pays people to come to Withdean so long as an atmosphere is created.

I feel exactly the same.

Accept however would expect a major overhaul next season of ST prices - namely downward on cost
