Not enough interest from the new 'fans'

If you bothered to look at other posts, i said why it didnt happen. It would have cost too much and the club wouldnt of been able to cover the costs without having to charge a lot. What i heard from someone at the club anyway (cant remember their name though).

Shame it didnt happen, would of probably had more than EIGHT people attending anyway

So CPFC requested 3000 tickets be made available for BHA

I thought CPFC went on record on bbs to say they would not let Brighton have any more than the minimum.

It must be tough supporting that load of shit when even the directors tell the supporters a load of bullshit. I mean unprovoked bullshit, so can the poor sods believe anything they hear from them.

I think not!!!

I think they told them after they were told by the police they would only sanction the minimum amount of tickets. They tried to get you a bigger allocation, can't you just accept that ?

This is a bit of a surprise to me, as previously I was sure that it was all down to the CPFC board responding to fan tit for tat allocation requests on the BBS.

Wasn't aware the police had changed policy, as they'd allowed many more fans in the past.

What next? They'll insist the next Palace match at the AMEX is on a cold January Sunday morning?

No. I do not care how many tickets they tried to get. That is not the point. I was just highlighting that they were publicly saying one thing to palace fans and privately trying to do something else. They were shamelessly playing to the gallery back around the time of the Amex game in September, banging on about how they would ensure BHA will only get minimum tickets, yet asking the police in December to up the allowance.

They are certainly not to be taken at face value

In recent times (3/4 years) off the top of my head:

-Man City in the League Cup.
-Stockport at Withdean.
-Dagenham at Withdean.
-Walsall Away.

Going back a bit further it was a regular feature,
- Chesterfield & Aldershot during the game
- York City (OK that one was a bit beyond the norm)

List goes on, so they have a point, but that wasn't the reason, its just less hassle to have 2500 instead of 5000 Brighton at the game. Fair enough really

So they should of said that they wanted more Brighton fans there? That would have gone down well with our 8000 hardcore. They can't win, damned if they do,damned if they don't.

With 28 arrests in the September fixture it looks like Met Police didn't want a similar or higher number of arrests for the January game as it would f*** up their statistics. With the away fans at The Amex being moved to the southern end of East Stand Lower it looks like the allocation for Palace and Millwall being reduced to roughly 2,000 with the SE Corner seats used as a segregation barrier. Our allocation at Smellhurst will be reciprocal.

We might have a smaller wall then !

Of course they're damned. They bought a shitheap football club.
You're really boring. No, you really are. On here and on the BBS.

That shitheap club took 4 points off you, and it really should have been 6 if not for kamikaze defending.

We're in the same division as you despite spending £5m+ less on fees and not to mention wages, and spent 10 games experimenting for next season yet only finished 8 points behind you.

28 arrests...

That's what happens when they let everyone spend all day pissing it up (with very little trouble until after)

Saturday Morning 12.30 games this year I reckon.

Spending less, maybe. Earning CONDIDERABLY less, definitely.
