FAO Inkerman - Things You Need to Know about NSC

A few things you need to be aware of as a newie, Inkerman.

1. You are not allowed to do more than 20 posts a day. Once you have exceeded 20 posts within a 24 hour period, your signon will be flagged up on a report and then revoked. You will then have to re-register. Be careful, as Bozza will only allow you to do this twice before you are permanently banned.

2. NSC costs. Once you have registered, you will be invoiced every 30 days from the date of registration, according to the amount of time you have been signed on to the board. You are charged at the rate of £1.50 per hour.

3. Artois (sometimes referred to as MARTIN) has unlimited powers, and may fiddle with your personal attributes within your signon to suit his mood. Turkey may also do this. Be aware, both are susceptible to violent moodswings.

4. The board traditionally shuts down completely for a month around this time of year, so don't be surprised if, within the next few days, you are greeted with an incomprehensible but ominous message about bandwidth, or something. It's the constant dark shadow we all have to live under.

5. Make sure your thread titles indicate in some way what the thread is all about. Otherwise you will upset Safeway, and he will just be unmanageable for the rest of the day.

6. Be nice.

Just bear all this in mind Inkerman, and I'm sure you will have an enjoyable time with us all.

Rule 9. Improper use of grammar, spelling, apostrophes and other sundry punctuation marks will be met with at least three or four separate threads about the low grade of English commonly in use today. Your knowledge of the English language is therefore vital to your sense of self-preservation and identity.

Oh yes, don't trust Turkey with your post count. He will bugger about with it ensuring you remain at Guy Butters.

Thanks Easy 10 I really appreciate the time and trouble that you have gone to make me feel at home.

Rule three is a bit worrying as I don't remember giving any Bank details when I registered. Should I post my account details and password on this thread so that my account can be charged or just wait until I receive the Invoice?

You may fool these 'newbies' Inkerman but you don't fool me. You've been posting on NSC longer than I have!

Rule 87 (b) (iii) Learn how to use the quote facility correctly. Failure to do so may lead to rule 87 (b) (iii) being quoted at you.

Unfortunately, I have yet to find anyone actually willing to pay to read my inane drivel, Alan. But I'm working on it.

I had a little foray about three years ago but that lasted about 10 postings. Nothing else since then. That may be "longer than you" but certainly not more than you.

Careful Inkerman, you're approaching the dreaded 20 posts mark. Bozza will be watching like a hawk...
