I was hoping someone else would point this out to save me breaking my self imposed posting silence. (Especially as it is biting at idiots like him that is the main reason I stopped posting.) But listening to another "woe is me - I know everything and get slated for it" phone call today I have to do this to preserve my blood pressure.

/clears throat

There WAS a 3 match package available at a reduced rate that included the Leeds game and two "lesser" ones - excactly the same as the Forest one which you claimed was brought in after your call. You were "shouted down" because you were advocating ONLY selling someone a Leeds ticket if they bought a three match package which is anti-competitive and probably breaks several Football League regulations.

Much as I agree with your garbled point about lowering prices probably meaning a DROP in revenue, I am sick of your bitter and twisted view of Dick Knight because of your past allegiances. Very occasionally, you have a point. More often than not you are continually sniping at the board with no justification or basis in fact. That is your right but where you are irrefutably wrong, it is my right to point it out and hopefully put to bed your woe is me, everyone hates me act.

Now, having invoked the spirit of the season and lit the blue touchpaper, I am going to log out again and back away! :D

For someone with the name 'couldn't give a rats arse', you might be taking this opinion thing a bit too seriously.

I find it helps to remember that I am always right, before some other plonker's *wrong* opinion gets me pissed off. That, and making them madder about what I say, than me about what they said.

i have to agree here (didnt realise it was bg) about this phone call claiming that there wasn't a 3 game package involving the leeds game as there was

it was advertised in exactly the same way as the current package so hardly a new ideal as was getting put to harty and jb

1. At no time did I put DK down or have a 'pop' at him if I did it to anybody it was Harty and John Byrne as they are the ones who said, when I suggested it, that you couldnt do a 3 game package it wouldnt work. If it appeared a slight on anybody else I would offer my apologies.
2. Yes I did suggest a 3 match package to include Leeds, Luton and Walsall with a free JPT ticket thrown in as a bonus for buying the others. This would have ensured a large crowd at all of those games other than just the Leeds one. If that was in place for the Leeds game, as you say, I certainly was unaware of it and didnt see it advertised anywhere.
3. The club, including DK, have now issued a 3 match package to include Forest which I think is the worng match because they do not have the draw that Leeds do. However, at least they are trying to do something. I am not suggesting that it was brought in because of what I said.
4. I do not think that reducing the prices will earn the club any more money as I tried to explain. If we assume that 2,000 people buy a ticket for each game, I do not know if that is anywhere near right but am using it as an example, and we reduced the tickert price by £10 from an estimated £25 to £15 that would equal a loss of £20,000, to cover that we would need to sell an additional 1333 tickets to cover our losses. Would we do that? We would also incur more costs with the additional crowds in stewarding, police etc and have to rely on what they spend on raffles, programms etc to cover those costs.
5. STH, as explained by Mr Brown the Managing Director are the lifeblood of the club and they cannot upset them by reducing the prices. I believe that this can be overcome by allowing STH to apply to move their seats for the one off game and allow them I free ticket for them to bring somebody along to that game.
6. My bitter and twisted view of DK, as you describe it, no longer exists. I, like the vast majority of people, realise that he has very nearly achieved what he said he would do, get us a new ground, and I like everybody should be grateful to him for this. I went on air, when the subject of David Gold was raised and said that I believe that he would be the answer to our prayers but I also said that DK should never be forgotten and should be allowed to continue as Chairman of the football club, if not the company that owns it, or preferably be made Life President of the club.
7. I fail to see how anybody can dictate to the club how they chose to sell their tickets , other than the agreement not to sell them at the ground on matchdays. If they chose to sell 1 ticket per game or in blocks of 10 games or even only season tickets that is surly their perogative as to how they consider best suits their needs and those of their supporters.

I hope that this goes some way towards changing your somewhat distorted view of me.

The club did do 5 game mini season tickets last season, i'm just guessing but the latest 3 game packages may have evolved from them. The club might have made them in to 3 games rather than 5 as the £110 cost of them last year might have ment that they didn't sell as well as what the club would have liked them to.
