I like 'put your hands up' but think we should drop 'sailing'. Understand why it was tried but too many people are too young to understand just how great it was in the 70's and 80's when we all sang it with silk scarves tied to our wrists. Those were the days when we sang the proper tune to 'Albion' rather than that dirge we now have.

I'd quite like Sussex By The Sea with the words up on the screen, at least for a few weeks, and to have the whole crowd singing our club anthem.

I have to be careful what I say because I do not want to antagonise anyone while the possibility remains that the SBTS Campaign might still have legs... the current situation is that my direct approach to the senior management at the club fell on completely deaf ears (Ken Brown eventually replied to my e-mail but gave the impression he had not even looked at the presentation or petition). I am accepting that the senior management currently have bigger concerns so I need to be in touch with someone lower down the hierarchy who might have more time to engage with the idea.

"Sailing" clearly is not working as an atmosphere enhancer. Despite people being very keen and willing to try, it is impossible to sing. Why, oh why, can we not sing "Sussex By The Sea"...?? People would love it and the aim of all of this to get the crowd upbeat and vocal would be assured... If someone from the club reads this, can they please PM me to explain.

Also, if anyone on here knows who I should be trying to contact at the club then please can they PM me? The person I want to talk to is the one responsible for putting together the Fanzone and tunnel hold sequences. Is it Richard Reynolds himself, or are there others involved? Does anyone know?
