The thread is poorly titled as the decision was nowt to do with the fans.
Blaming it all on Mad-jet-ski is making an asumption that may or may not be true.
Whatever, it's a poor decision by Reading.

that this was something that the fans had a direct impact on, when we don't.

But you could have an impact on it. If your fans cared enough about the wider footballing community and put a little pressure on Madejski/your board you could have an impact on it.

Be careful. Don't forget when you're talking about Brighton fans you're talking about the self-appointed moral guardians of British football......

Damn straight!

Most of them I know, admitedly not hundreds but some, would have sympathy with Exeter and would almost certainly not support Readings stance towards the debt.

I would have thought so too, which makes Royal Ali's last-ditch defence of the wigwearer seem so much sillier. The normal Reading fans with some sense of deceny should make their feelings known to him - he'd be an even bigger twat to ignore them.

That question really is asking for it...

I mean, I can't even be arsed to put "typically, a Reading fan someone who never even realised that his dull town had a football team before John Majeski got so bored counting his money that he decided to erect a large vainglorious monument to himself".

No way.

Well, they sure don't turn out week in week out to watch your team, do they?

Well I know of lots and lots of those who travelled who most certainly do NOT and never have supported Reading. West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Fulham even but they did not and do not support Reading. The same as when we went to Wembley back in the halcyon days of Danny B we took thousands who weren't County fans.

Is somebody going to answer what they think a normal Reading fan is, as you clearly think we're some sort of secluded, uninformed, selfish bunch of fans who've never done anything to help another club.

I think Reading fans are pretty much the same as any other fans in the country with exactky the same cross-section as Brighton.

Happy now?

Bloody hell.

(Your chairman should still have at least deferred payment though, selfish **** that he is)

Nor do the 30,000 who went to watch you in Cardiff...

I'm not a Brighton fan, and my team have never played the Millenium Stadium.

Your stadium is what, a 24,000 capacity - yet your average attendance last season was 15,500. And has only once this season got over 20,000. So yes the other 20,000 who went to Wembley do appear to have 'ceased to exist'.

My point wasn't the empty seats, just that you posted about the 36k who went to Wembley but can't be bothered to turn up week in week out.

And whoopy doo. 22k for a game againt the top league team. Where were they when you played Rotherham, Preston etc?

Anyway. putting Reading's undeniable tinpot status as a club to one side for a second, just write to your wig-wearing egomaniacal chairman and ask him to stop shagging that stinking old munter Cilla Black for five minutes and do the decent thing by Exeter City. Money doesn't buy you class - he and his plaything of a football club are living proof of that.
