Brilliant. Cheers. As about 50 NSCers have the front row of Block N1 we should be able to make this work.

IF I get a ticket, and IF my seats are nowhere near the front SHOULD they arrive, does this mean I can entrust my banners to you lot to put either side of the Wrecsam one?

When I call the sign makers tomorrow, I'll get a price for both banners. (Don't see why we can't get both done). If the price is OK, I will PM everyone who has agreed to chip in a tenner (for both banners, meaning some people may get clobbered for £20), and ask them to post me a cheque. (Fairly urgently if that is OK because I am not minted...!)

As a graphic designer (and an award-winning one at that - gloat, gloat), are people OK for me to go ahead with the design and get it printed, as time may be of the essence and I may not be able to get people on here to OK before it goes to print.

PS can we make the other banner thread 'sticky'? Or are there too many sticky threads already?

Al,

r.e the design. In the bottom right corner could we maybe have Brighton & Wrexham Fans United.

If everyone agree's I think it may be worth handing the banner over to Wrexham fans when we're finished with it (How that would be possible I won't even consider yet!).

I'm up there quite often and I'd gladly do it but I think it should be 'bigged up' in the press-such a powerful anti-hooligan/anti-corrupt chairman message. And you should be involved because of the effort you've made.

Well done by the way-great message for the rest of football to take notice of.

Wrexham fans are looking into making a Falmer banner to take to games. A swapping of banners would be a good meida opp. :)

What do Wrexham fans think of our Save Wrexham banner idea? Is there a link onto their messageboard?

I think I will do a banner which reads

Fans United say 'Save Wrexham' on the top line and
Maen Fans Unedig dweud "Arbedwch Wrecsam" underneath, with the Brighton and Wrexham badges on there.

Can we confirm that this is the correct Welsh translation? As I said earlier, I will confirm prices Monday morning. If it is too expensive or can't be done in time, I will let everyone know.

Wrexham fans love the idea and are very gratefull. I posted on this thread what they suggested. I also like:

OK, Turkey. I can do whatever text they like, and if they prefer CPD WRECSAM: WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED, can you get onto them for a Welsh translation?

I can then do

FANS UNITED & AFC WREXHAM: WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED
FANS UNEDIG & CPD WRECSAM: (whatever it is in Welsh...)

What is the link...?

I don't think there's a Welsh word for 'fans' so I guess it's probably 'ffans' (fans is pronounced vans so they'd think it was about motor hire). So, it's "Ffans Unedig"

"We shall not be moved" is beyond my Welsh but I could find out.

Had a long chat with Mrs OTLW and elder son last night after reading again of Wrexham's plight.
Being based in the far North East we are always limited on which Albion games we can realistically get to:
17 away games and just two home games this season.

So we have decided that on the match days when we can't get to Albion next season we will see where Wrexham are playing (my sisters both live in North Wales) and if they are at home or away in the North, we will go and watch them in our Albion stripes (bit of an extension to National Falmer Day). We thought we could tie this in with a banner saying something like
"Seagulls Support Wrexham" and "Save the Racecourse"

As a veteran of our own Goldstone/Bellotti campaign and now our Falmer campaign I really feel for these guys in Wrexham.

Dunno whether any other Seagulls in North Wales or the North West want to get involved in a trial of this idea maybe in August or September.

As you can gather I was really moved by the marvellous scenes both before and after our encounter at Wrexham a few weeks ago.

Yes we will.

Just for those unaware of what's going on at Wrexham. Mark Guterman has sold the club to his business associate and fellow property developer, Alex Hamilton. This means Hamilton now owns the club and the ground. He wants to sell the ground.
