Serious question suggestion...

Could somebody ask Bloom if he's concerned that for the first time since the dark old days (pre-DK) there's some animosity between the fans and the boardroom - i.e. the growing distrust and even hatred towards Paul Barber?

The only question I want someone to ask is about them altering the club charter with no discussion and nothing to show it was altered to suit the new ticketing policy.

It just makes me feel uneasy.

Maybe the question should say 'some of the fans', so it could be taken seriously and not sound so overblown.

The majority of supporters seem to either accept that PB is here to do a hard (and deeply unpopular job) or don't really pay much attention to anything not directly related to what happens on the pitch, with a small (yet vocal) minority wanting him out.

Plus, it's a football club, there will always be someone who distrusts the board, regardless of what common sense suggests.

I expect the reply will be that contract negotiations are confidential but I would like to know why the club decided to release El Abd and Spanish Dave and then re sign them both. What was their thinking ?

Will there be a drinking game on each time the following is said:

Oscar - "For sure"
Bloom - "for legal reasons" or "confidential"
Barber - "Financial Fair Play coming in means..."
Any of the above refer to Spanish Dave as "Spanish Dave"

The club never 'released' either of them. They were both out of contract, and were both offered new contracts at the end of the season. El Abd's negotiations took a while (seemingly over the length of the deal), and the offer to David was at one stage withdrawn, then a new compromise reached.

At the end of the season they were both wanted (on the right terms), rather than released.

I like this. Two fingers for any of the above. Finish drink if anyone asks a question about Vicente, or if one of the panel say the word "promotion".

Oh I forgot about these! Horrible memories coming back!
Can all of you going please take your crackers and clap barber every time he answers a question. See how he likes it!

We had clackers at one of the last matches at Withdean with hardly a comment and not a peep in public from Gus. Just goes to show another year, another match and more importantly another result!

Does anyone know if this will be available on seagulls player or on the bbc website to watch back? I'll be at work when it is on.

These things are normally full of idiots asking stupid questions that clearly cannot be answered, such as on transfer targets. It would greatly be appreciated if people would desist, think about it, and ask interesting questions that may get an answer.

That is exactly it. I went to one and I won't go again, anodyne answers to idiot questions. And there's always one bloke with a bee in his bonnet who'll go on and on about the same thing.

The trouble is if they DO ask interesting questions they won't be aswered and the whole thing ends up like Hans Kraay's spoof.

Would be good to have a question on playing budget. PB has consistently said that it is line with last year. With the players let go in the summer, coupled with the money spent last year on Ulloa mainly, but also Dobbie (not including the £2.5m bid allegedly made for Van Dijk), I would have thought we are significantly below last years budget at the moment and there must be room for several more players, including a fairly significant transfer fee - is this actually the case though?
