Just had one and the same problem.

There will, presumably, be a fair few fans who don't know any of the nominees at all.

So it comes down to reading what they have to say (here: https://www.brightonandhovealbion.c...ory-board-vote?dm_i=2D77,1V2PT,3IMF0A,6HE4U,1) and voting for those who you like the sound of.

(Although it's a shame that we know Hiney's words on the site aren't his own and two other nominees have the same copy against their names, which kinda casts into doubt how accurate any of them are)

Thanks. I searched the club site and couldn't find it.

Having read it, I'm still not much wiser. They are all passionate and love the club.

The complete opposite of nominees for my Labour Party executive, and my union, where all the candidates are passionately opposed to the retrogressive policies of the pink tory traitor, Starmer, Israel and its racist genocide, and the patriarchal and fascist systems that have, er, allowed them on to the ballot paper

Having photos of the individuals could have helped, but just going by the words not enough stand out to warrant voting for, and it may be a case of some getting onto the board by default as people just tick the first couple of names on the list to make up the numbers,

This

There seem to be three ladies in the Men's Season Ticket Holder Nominees category!

I’d presume that is not a mistake - just a very ambiguous description of the categories. Rather than only being open to men who are STH - these are nominations for Men’s STHs - ie people who hold a season ticket for the men’s first team.

D'oh! Yes, of course ... I get it now :shootself:

If I'd read the blurb at the top I wouldn't have made an idiot of myself ... well, on this anyway.

I just looked at the bigger underlined headings - which is a bit ambiguous!

It didn't help that they seem to have messed some of the bios up ... which lead me to think that maybe other mistakes had been made.

Thanks for pointing out

No Venn Diagram for age, stand, contributes to atmosphere, and no accompanying photo

How exactly am I meant to form an unconscious bias now?

#Together

Edit: wonder how many more candidates contribute on here but won’t admit it?

I guess a lot of you will have received the email from the Albion with a list of candidates you can vote for from different categories of fans - Men's Season Ticket Holder, Women's Season Ticket Holder, 1901 etc, to elect fans to have a say in the running of our Club.
I can't find anything regarding the voting itself, but may I let you know that NSC's very own Barry Izbak is one of the candidates. He goes under the alias of Nigel Summers and is a nominee in the Men's Season Ticket Holder category.
He's the only person on the long list that I know personally. He's Albion mad, and came to fame when he tied large banners on the M23 bridges, proclaiming we wanted Falmer during the War Years. He also made several videos of the stadim build which he posted on here at the same time I was posting the photos. We would often do the rounds together so he could use my infamous ladder!
He is a true fan with our wellbeing at his very heart.
Therefore, he will certainly be getting my vote.
He won't let us down.

This endorsement from my friend means a lot.
Thank you Graeme.

One if the reasons there are no pictures with the biogs is so as not to prejudice the votes.
Seeing that picture of a short fat guy with a ladder kind of proves the point.

Nonetheless the application process was quite lengthy, and those that made it to the shortlist all deserve your attention to their write ups. It isn't tinder where you swipe right if you don't like the look of someone. It's more important than that.

The club are encouraging fan involvement . That has to be a good thing.

Nigel Summers would very much appreciate one of your votes

I’m on there if anyone fancies dropping me a vote, I’d like to say I’d want to represent the younger side of the fanbase, but I travel to so much football, I really think I could have an impact. Jack Stephenson - vote for me.
