I think we have to exclude luvvies who went to stage school. I'm no longer surprised by soap actors who can tap dance or knock out a reasonable version of Tomorrow from Annie.

Remember, miming being caught inside an invisible box is part of their curriculum.

A lot of sports people gained fame in multiple sports

A large number of American footballers were also drafted by baseball teams (many were/ are also accomplished basketball players) - probably the most successful was Deion Sanders, the only person to play in both a superbowl and a world series.

Lev Yashin was also an ice hockey international as well as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Kevin Moran - Irish international and Man Utd defender also won two All-Ireland Championships before he became a professional footballer

Eddie Egan won an olympic gold in the 1920s for boxing and then an olympic gold at bobsledding in the winter olympics - the only athlete to win gold in the summer and winter olympics in different sporting disciplines.

AB De Villiers.

Chose cricket but could have been a pro golfer, tennis player, rugby player, hockey player. Anything he wanted really.

Also won a nationwide science project prize when he was about 12 and received an award from Nelson Mandela.

Idris Elba.

Actor, writer, producer, DJ, rapper. All the women love him. Plus he comes across as a really nice bloke so you can't even hate him (same with AB).

Pair of ********.

Throw in Bo Jackson as well. Virtually unknown outside of America but the guy is the only All-Star ever in both baseball and American football. It's like making it into the PFA team of the year and then getting into the cricket team of the year the following season. Absolutely insane.
