A friend of mine is a Chambermaid in a top Dublin Hotel. The Jack Nicolson stories are of legend. It almost an initiation to send a new girl to his room when his toilet has a plumbling problem, as it always does.

As soon as she bends over to clear the U Bend, no we will leave it there.

If I'm allowed to include future events on this thread, I'll be staying in the same hotel as the England and West Indies cricket teams in Antigua this April.

And I once served curry to Una Stubbs.

I met Chris Eubank in the Odeon.I met Jeff Rich(Status Quo drummer)at my school.Lee Mack(Comedian)at the Corn Exchange.Zane Low at the Dome and i also had the pleasure of being presented with the school sports day cup by Stuart Storer.

Christopher Reeve was on the same 'plane as me once. He was pleasant to the kids who recognized him and came up at the luggage, and signed autographs pleasantly. It's sad what happened to him later, a nice bloke.

I sat next to Jean-Claude van Damme a couple of months ago at a cafe, and he struck up a conversation with me about my dog.
I thought he might be the total plonker, but he was affable - quite normal from that encounter anyway.

Terry Venables held the door open to let me into the Bar of a very nice London Hotel a few years ago. He was England manager at the time.

I caught the train back with Eubank once and he said "Is this the first class" - didn't laugh promise !

Only surreal hotel experience was at the Dudley in Hove, went down with new wed wife to breakfast on the Sunday morning with the others who had stayed overnight and the whole of the New Zealand cricket team were there as they were playing at Hove.

Richard Hadlee wished us good luck.

I was in South Africa on business last year during the Cricket World Cup. The Australian team stayed there, and I saw Gillespie & Lee. I also stayed in Michael Vaughan's house a couple of years & got hammered with his bird in Sheffield (I lived with his cousin for 3 years).

And yesterday I stopped at some lights on Oxford Street in Paddinton, and Delta Goodrum stood right next to my car with her Mum. Very cute. I flashed her a smile & she turned her back :D
