What about members of Brighton bands / musicians?

Kooks
Levellers
Maccabees
Imperial Leisure(?)
Robert Smith

etc etc

Anyone 'turned' Nick Cave yet? That would be a cool catch!

Did I also read one of The Who lived locally?

On the sporting theme...isn't Steve Burtenshaw a local lad and fan?

And what about Louise Redknapp? What was all that stuff with her posing in an Albion top (in the 90s) all about. Some kind of gimmick or is she a Seagull?

Did see one of the Levellers wearing an Albion away shirt when they played V Festival a few years ago.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
The ex-bass guitarist of Tears for Fears (left before they hit the big time) taught at Lancing College and he used to 'look out for the Brighton score'.

Martin Bentley MBE (a former Stoke City trainee who ruined his knee) was known to take in a few games. Not a celebrity as such, but an MBE..?

Surely some of the Sussex cricketers support the Albion???
Maybe Matt Prior, he went to Brighton College.

I'm sure I remember something about Dan Hipgrave (from the band Toploader) watching the Albion, and he used to bring Gail Porter along with him to matches. 2 for the price of 1? Though they divorced in 2004, so maybe she'd refused to come along to our play-off final win in Cardiff?

Also, Gaz from Supergrass lives somewhere near Sussex Gardens? Another tenuous one.

Wasn't there a musical director or conductor or some sort - used to wear a dickie bow in the South Stand at Withdean.

I believe that Cormac Murphy-O'Connor is also an Albion fan. As is his boss.

I always thought Jamie Theakston was a Man Utd fan. It's quite surprising the lack of celebs that follow us. As quite a lot of celebs live in Brighton. I think they will all jump on the bandwagon when we get big in a few years.

That will be news to the many Albion fans in the Crawley area. I'd say from personal experience that it's a fair split between Chelsea, Palace and Brighton around there.

Why would a person from Crawley support the Albion. As far as I remember Crawley have a thriving team of their own.

I would wager there are very very few Albion fans in Crawley. Do you know where Crawley is?

Don't be a dick Tim.

How long have Crawley been thriving as a team?

No, never heard of the place. And your wagers are usually crap. Why would a person from Brighton support another football team - I understand that it happens occasionally. Dear oh dear, you really are a thicko.
