I started doing this last week, after the thread on here about international beers, I wanted to see where and if we are related to the Sleeman Brewery in Canada.

Managed to get back to my grandfathers, grand-parents quite easily (well, a few hours anyway). Need to be careful, many of the sites try to charge you to get the info, so the trick seems to be finding places of knowledge for free.
