Without question one of THE great British game shows, in fact one of our finest TV shows. It has been hosted by some of the finest TV personalities and celebrities, but who is NSCs favourite Family Fortunes host?

???

Bob remains King.

Something your car can have two of: "Wheels.."

A place where you wouldn't expect to meet a nun: "A brothel.."

Something you borrow from your partner: "Shoes.."

Something you wouldn't try even once: "Sex on a train.."

An orange vegetable: "Aubergine.."

An animal you cannot fit into a Mini car: "Mouse.."

A food that has one or more holes in it: "Spaghetti.." (Anthony Costa was no doubt thinking of Spaghetti Hoops. The delightful Costa family also produced the 'cotton wool' answer below.)

Something made of wool: "Cotton wool.."

An animal with three letters: "Lion.."

A bad place to fall asleep: "Concrete.."

A French ferry port: "Dover.."

Something you mount: "A mountain.."

Something you lose when you get older: "Your purse.."

A sport which involves throwing something: "Tennis.."

A type of bean: "Lesbian.." (This and the one above were the product of Brian Dowling's fertile imagination, on a celebrity edition of the show, in which the 'purse' answer also arose.)

Something you would play with in the bath: "A bazooka.."

Someone you wouldn't swear in front of: "Yourself.."

Slightly disappointed no votes for Vernon Kay. He of course bought back Family FOrtunes and reinvented it as 'All Star Family Fortunes' which is always a winning formula the nation loves it's gameshows and one of the few things it loves more than gameshows is gameshows with celebrities as contestants.

I've mentioned on here before that my family were on it back in the 80's when Les Dennis was host.
They won £3300 I believe but it literally destroyed the family, some family members still don't talk because of it.
The best thing to come out of it was my Dad's answer at the end of the show.

Les: Name something messy to eat with your fingers.

Dad: Soup. :ffsparr:
