Family area county ground

HAVE JUST GOT MY MEMBER'S GUIDE 2009 today in the post.

Reading through it i see they are still having this f--- ing family area in the north west corner for twenty20 cup,day night and bank holiday one-day matches.

now this is the interesting piece.

TO COMPLY WITH ECB REGULATIONS ,THE FAMILY AREA WILL BE ALCOHOL FREE AND NO AHCOHOL WILL BE PERMITTED TO BE TAKEN IN TO THAT AREA UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES..

This is going to be fun to watch and see how far the stewards enforce this rule i now think that this family area will be quite empty as we all know that the parents with there cute little ones are tanked up to the hilt with there booze.

The northern end was great a couple of seasons back for the 20/20, before they put up the withdean-esque wank stand. It was like a grassy terrace, full of tanked up but harmless folk having a cracking evening at the cricket.

I'm going to sit as close to the family area as I can and get stupidly drunk and swear non stop.

I think they have to do it under some ECB code, I heard a couple of executives debating the area by the left of the players changing rooms this week i.e should it be just familys, or allow in members as well, they also said it has to be alchool free. They also discussed building a disabled viewing platform in front of the dextors resturant entrance by taking out some chairs.

It is a great place to watch cricket from.
