If you know which one the West Stand is (if by far the biggest one) then you can easily figure out which one the North Stand is.

If that is still an issue, probably best to buy a compass.

Indeed - West stand (the big one) on your left and you will be facing the North Stand.
Once finished it will be the one with the museum and club shop in and also the one where the noisy fans are to be found

A lot of people seem to be genuinely confused by this. We were having a conversation about where would like to sit at Falmer, amongst our current little group of STH's recently. A number of them seemed to have reversed the North & South stands. I don't really understand the diffuculty, I know the ground isn't perfectly lined up but it seems reasonably obvious ...

Surely everyone knows the A27 runs East-West. Once you see where the stadium is in relation to that, everything else is obvious.

I might be wrong but surely if you look at the trees behind and the shadows they are producing then the north stand is not in the north position? as no shadows should be produced in a southerly direction? if that makes sense???

The stadium doesn't face DIRECTLY north-south, its at an angle.

If anything, the north stand is more northy-westish, and the south stand is kind of southy-easty. But that would sound a bit SHIT if we referred to them like that wouldn't it.

Just remember that the WEST stand is the big bastard, and you'll be fine.
