I'm going to try and get one for me and my son, if my girlfriend goes (over 18) can I "upgrade the ticket" if my lad can't go? Anyone know?

Yes, but there always a but.....
If your'e going to be in Family Stand, then your upgrade will also move you to another stand. I have STH's in the Family stand at Withdean and for a couple of the midweek matches my kids haven't gone, but I've taken my girlfriend instead. Only cost £8 to 'upgrade' but got moved to W block on basis 2 adults with no kids not allowed in Family stand!

I was in the same boat- had season ticket for first 7 seasons at Withdean but missed the last two (simply because I don't live locally and was missing a lot of games). But decided to buy a season ticket two weeks ago when I heard about the arrangements for Falmer!

this is fantastic news, the prices are amazing and the pay monthly scheme is just GENIUS, means I can afford it now as I was scared I would'nt be able to pay a lump sum....awesome!

Are these the prices for existing season ticket holders only, or will these be the prices for people buying a ST at Falmer who HAVEN'T had a ST at Withdean?

good question, I presumed it was everyone but it syays nothing about a "Priority 5" section for all us RUFFIANS!

Then you could wear your ST round your neck as a card of honour with your priority number emblazoned across it...

Seriously though, that would be ridiculous, what football club would want to alienate any new fans even before they've bought their tickets!

Alternatively, it could be a way of rewarding the loyalty of (ST-holding) fans through the Withdean years, by offering them discounted prices, before they go on general sale.

I was not kicking off, it was just a general question.

The prices are good and the direct debit arrangement very useful now all we want is an announcement that those supporters who completely spoil the game by standing up will be dealt with.
I have taken children and have also noted people with leg and back problems being absoulutly frustrated by missing all the action around the goalmouth. The club have a lot of seats to sell so that they must ensure that the stewards are well trained should anti social behaviour break out.

Probably a wind up, but suggest you get in family stand

Whilst this is all very exciting, I note that for those that travel by train or bus 'optional public transport' discount vouchers can be purchased which 'subsidise' the cost whereas the current ticket prices at Withdean include these so a direct comparison is not possible. Also, in view of the very limited parking, does the price of the season ticket include the park and ride or is there going to be a hidden charge for this aswell?

I think that, far from rewarding loyal supporters, the club are making the most of the current euphoria about our top of the table position. I currently sit at the back of the South stand with an excellent view. The only price that compares is the west stand upper at £460 plus possible charges for park and ride or public transport. That's £35 increase on my current price ie 8¼% increase plus any park and ride costs). There are cheaper seats behind the goal but that is not my preferred view. I think the club are using good marketing to mask the fact that even for the most loyal supporters, the ticket price is going up.

Did I read it right that despite no general parking at ground and encouraging using public transport they wish to charge extra for using train / bus? How subsidised will it be as current rate is near £4 a game, or do they want me to drive from Hove and use the park and ride facilities?
