Falmer Season Ticket Idea

With a lot of questions being asked about Falmer Season Tickets, I'm not sure if this has come up before, but with a lot of people asking about unallocated season tickets, and seeing how there are a lot of comments about "test driving" various seats in the stadium, and judging by your replies this hasn't been thought of, but as the club considered issuing a mix and match season ticket for the first season.

The idea being you allocate X number of seats in all parts of the ground, and sell the tickets as a mix and match, i.e. Game one you have a ticket in the North Stand Central, Game 2 you have a ticket in North Stand East, Game 3 East Stand Central, etc etc, so each "ticket" covers all parts of the stadium. Obviosuly set seats chosen by the club, and not picked by the purchaser, so you could say allocate 1000 seats for this ticket, and only 1000 seats would be taken up for the scheme.

I don't think this would be the administrative nightmare it sounds if you set an early cut off time for the purchase of said ticket.

I think this could sell hundreds, if not thousands more season tickets for those who otherwise would be buy one until they've done the rounds?

If this is a brand new idea and is a goer, my fee is one of the tickets!!!:p

If its not a brand new idea, then I'll fetch me coat.:tantrum:

I love that idea, Lets be homest most of us will want to experience a game from most stands if only to say we have.

I dont like the idea of chosing a stand with no real prior experience

Giving people an opportunity to try different parts of the stadium in the first few weeks is an excellent idea.

The complicating factor is that prices for seats will vary, depending on where they are. And price will be a factor in deciding where, in the long run, we decide we want to sit. I'm not sure how you can convert the flexible/unallocated season ticket into the permanent/allocated ticket that is needed to see the whole season out.

A possible option would be to offer the flexible ticket for, say, the first eight games and then (at the end of the introductory period) offer fans the opportunity to buy a fifteen match season ticket in the area that they choose.

The problem for the Club would be processing all those season ticket applications in the short period of time between game 8 and game 9.

Maybe at the point between the last home game of the trial period and the first home game of the fixed period the club could make sure it falls either side of an fa cup weekend and ask for away games either side of the cup game, this would then give them a good period of time (3-4 weeks) to get the applications in and process the tickets.

But its a good idea
